NURSE PRACTITIONER WEEK EVENTS

The Columbus City Council will present a proclamation at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
November 14 th for Nurse Practitioner Week. This event will take place during the City Council meeting located at 311 Citizens Way, Columbus, Georgia 31906. Wear your white lab coat/jacket.
We are so grateful for the Columbus City Council and their recent, unanimous support of the proposed 2024 legislative agenda (listed below), which will be presented for consideration to members of the Georgia General Assembly during the 2024 Legislative Session.
 SB 164 – APRN Licensure
 HB 557 – Schedule II (stimulants) and handicap placards
 HB 291 – Legal Guardianship
 APRN Home Health Service Authorization
Passing of this legislation would increase patient access to care, quality of care, and cost-effective care while increasing the scope of practice for advanced practice registered nurses all over Georgia.
